Through the exploration of creativity and mindfulness over the course of six topics, educators learn how process-based art making supports social-emotional resiliency, self-regulation, confidence in self and community, and a deeper understanding of humanity -- all specific to the Montessori philosophy and work environment.

Between closures, staffing shortages, triaging classrooms, safety concerns, and just getting through the day to day,
it's been an especially tough time to be an educator.
Even our youngest students are not exempt from the mental health, self-regulation, and social-emotional challenges
facing students across the country,
and teachers of all varieties are burnt out and at their brink.
All of us have seen primary students coming in with under-developed fine motor skills, shorter attention spans,
lack of confidence and increased anxiety these past few years.
While we can't change systemic, widespread problems overnight or with the blink of an eye,
we can build sure and steady steps toward resiliency and inspiration
using one of the greatest assets we already have - our creativity.
And our classroom environment is the perfect place to start.

Here's How Fostering Creativity + Mindfulness in Montessori Primary Classrooms Training Works

Picture
this training bridges the gap for classroom teachers who have a foundational understanding of creativity and its relationship to how mindfulness keeps us connected to ourselves, each other, and the world, yet are looking for further development in their knowledge of how to implement hands-on practices in process-based art to bring the spirit of mindful creation into their everyday work cycles.

this training deeply covers the connection that creative action, both individual and in tandem, brings us to all diversified humanity, ourselves, and nature.

any teacher working with young children can use this training to enhance their understanding of creative agency at the early childhood stage of development, along with their own understanding of their creativity and how this influences the way they teach creativity in their classroom environments.
the training is a series of six modules:
  • narrated slideshow style video, audio, and written pdf formats of each topic
  • modules take about two hours to complete
  • print out any of the pdfs if you like to take notes while watching

staff members use this website to access training by logging in under an unique username and password.
every registered teacher has lifetime access to the training.

there is also a resource page for teachers that includes
  • a full color eBook of 15 process-based art lessons for the Montessori classroom work cycle

  • links and resources for ongoing learning
